Access to safe drinking water and proper sanitation facilities forms the foundation of human health and community development. In many rural communities, water-borne illnesses remain a leading cause of preventable illness, missed school days, and lost economic productivity.
Eloi Africa’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs treat community health as a fundamental prerequisite for long-term development.

Key Components of Integrated WASH Projects
- Safe Water Infrastructure: Working with local leaders to rehabilitate clean water sources, harvest rainwater, and promote household water purification methods.
- Hygiene & Sanitation Education: Delivering community workshops on handwashing, safe food preparation, and waste management to curb communicable diseases.
- School WASH Facilities: Partnering with schools to install clean water points and private sanitation facilities, which helps keep girls in school as they grow older.
Healthcare Through Community Action
Beyond physical water access, preventative health campaigns equip local health volunteers to identify early signs of illness, encourage timely medical visits, and promote maternal and child health practices.
“Clean water and hygiene education reduce health expenditures for families, keeping parents healthy for work and children ready for school.”
