While formal political abductions destroy communities globally, rural African families also face informal “disappearances”—where breadwinners vanish into predatory labor trafficking, unsafe cross-border mining, or unmonitored migratory labor networks due to extreme financial desperation.
When a parent vanishes, remaining children face immediate exposure to hunger, school abandonment, and child labor.
